Keeping You and Your Data Safe

The security and privacy of our users and partners matter to us. We are committed to keeping your personal information as secure as possible.

Spot The Signs

Everyone also has an important role to play in safeguarding our personal data. When we receive emails, text messages, or calls from unknown sources, do be alert and stay vigilant. Here are ways to spot signs of potential scams:

Authenticity verification

  • For emails, do verify the source and sender.
    • Ensure the sender’s email address is correctly spelt and ends with “@aic.sg”.
  • Click only on links from trusted sources.
    • To ensure that a URL genuinely leads to the official AIC website or its related pages, always check the website domain. The official AIC website domain ends with “aic.sg”.
    • A domain forms the first part of a URL. If a https:// prefix is included in the URL, the domain comes immediately after it. Such an example would be our website https://www.aic.sg, and AIC eServices for Financing Schemes https://efinance.aic.sg.
    • When in doubt, search for the organisation’s website directly using search engines to ascertain the legitimacy of the website.
  • After landing on the web page, be extra vigilant before providing any sensitive information such as personal particulars or account login details, for example user ID and password. Look out for valid encryption certificates by checking the padlock in the browser’s address bar.

Keep personal and financial information confidential

  • Protect your credentials and devices. Do not reveal your personal account details, Singpass information, or passwords to anyone.
  • Never click on any suspicious URLs from SMSes or emails from unknown sources. Pay particular attention to any misspelling, substitution of letters, and/or deliberate shifting of “aic.sg” to other parts of the URL.
  • Do not leave your devices unattended while online transactions are being processed.
  • Always remember to log out from your account after you have completed your online transactions.
