Community Rehabilitation Centres provide therapy, which is important for an elderly with heart disease, or who had a stroke, fracture or other condition that affected his ability to do everyday things like walking around or going to the bathroom. It can help him regain his abilities.

The centres may offer services including:
Physiotherapy
Assessing and treating problems with movement because of disability, trauma or illness, such as learning how to walk again after a stroke
Speech Therapy
Assessing and treating of swallowing and speech disorders, due to stroke or dysphasia.

Active rehabiliatation
The estimated cost ranges between $70 and $102 per rehabilitation session before subsidy, and excludes transport services.
Maintenance rehabilitation
The estimated cost ranges between $52 and $65 per rehabilitation session before subsidy, and excludes transport services.
