Why is Pre-Enrolment Important?
Finding a suitable care arrangement for your loved one takes time, as you will need to consider the following:
- What are the respite care options available?
- Which option can cater to my needs or my loved one’s needs?
- Which service provider should I select?
- What information do I need for admission?
- Am I eligible for subsidies for respite care?
The pre-enrolment process will guide you through questions, decide on a suitable care arrangement, and complete some necessary pre-admission applications in advance.
What is Go Respite?
- Go Respite is a pilot programme that encourages caregivers to plan ahead and identify a suitable respite option. This is not a suitable care option for urgent respite care.
- A successful activation is subject to the centre and nursing home vacancies, provided your loved one is assessed to be suitable for the service required.
- As a caregiver, you can pre-enrol with your preferred senior care centre or nursing home, and complete some necessary pre-admission applications in advance. Upon successful pre-enrolment, caregivers could contact their preferred service provider directly prior to activation of respite care service during the intended period.
Who is Eligible?
If you require immediate/urgent respite care service and find pre-planning a challenge, please visit

1. Go Respite - Daycare or Dementia Daycare Center
-
Seniors who require supervision or assistance in their activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating or going to the toilet during the day.
Caregivers can tap on senior care centres for short-term care options, to take a break from caregiving to run errands, to self-care and etc.

Caregivers who need additional assistance when their foreign domestic workers are away could consider this alternate short-term care option as well. There will be social activities to engage your loved ones and meals will be arranged.
