Introduction to Home Caregiving Grant

The Home Caregiving Grant replaces the Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) Grant from October 2019.

The Home Caregiving Grant (HCG) is a $200 monthly cash payout to support your loved ones with at least permanent moderate disability, i.e. always require some assistance to perform 3 or more Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

This grant can be used to defray the costs of caregiving expenses, such as the costs of eldercare and caregiver support services in the community, or hiring of a Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW).

How to Qualify

How to Apply

1. Complete your HCG Application Form

Download the Long Term Care Schemes Guide & Application Form By Agency For Integrated Care and Terms and Conditions.

2. Please visit the MOH Household Check website if you need to update your household information or if you have previously disallowed the access of your Financial Information for eligibility checks.

3. Undergo disability assessment

Visit a General Practitioner or arrange with your care provider to obtain a Functional Assessment Report (FAR)*. The cost of an assessment may vary. Please contact your preferred doctor for more information.

[Note: If you are also applying for IDAPE, you do not need to obtain the FAR. Visit an IDAPE-approved assessor instead to obtain an Assessor Statement.]

4. Submit your HCG Application Documents to AIC

Send the completed application and the Functional Assessment Report * to AIC at:

Agency for Integrated Care
Singapore Post Centre Post Office
P.O. Box 1173
Singapore 914040

You can also e-mail these documents to apply@aic.sg, or submit them at any of our AIC Links located here.

* For Care Recipients with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Intellectual Disability

Your care recipients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Intellectual Disability (ID) can choose to have their level of support needs for ADL determined via the CAF (download the Form here). Care recipients who are currently attending a Special Education School or disability care services such as Day Activity Centres can have the assessment done onsite (please check with your school or service provider if it provides such assessment service). If the school or service provider does not provide CAF assessment or if the care recipients with ID or ASD do not receive disability services from the community, you may approach the Therapy Hubs (click here for the list) for CAF assessment. Please click here for more information on CAF assessment.

After your application submission

AIC will inform you of the application outcome in writing.

If your application is approved, AIC will deposit the payout into the nominated bank account on a monthly basis. Please contact us at 1800-650-6060 if you have not received your payout by the end of the month.

Note:
