Introduction to Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)
With a CHAS card, you can receive subsidies for the treatment of chronic conditions, common illnesses* and selected dental services*. The amount of CHAS subsidies you receive will depend on your monthly household income per person or the Annual Value of your home. All PG and MG seniors enjoy special subsidies at CHAS clinics.
Plus, CHAS, PG and MG cardholders can receive subsidised referrals to public Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs), the National Dental Centre Singapore, and the National University Centre for Oral Health Singapore, if needed.
For patients with chronic conditions, CHAS complements the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP). This means that you can tap on your MediSave to pay part of your treatment cost, on top of getting subsidies for chronic conditions covered under CHAS.
If you are enrolled in Healthier SG and hold a CHAS, PG or MG card, you can also receive enhanced subsidies on selected chronic medications at your Healthier SG GP clinic, at prices comparable to polyclinics.
