​Projects

These include workflow process improvement, automation, mechanisation, technology, systems applications or quality improvement projects that achieve productivity outcomes:

  • For the delivery of care
E.g. increase in quality of care and patient satisfaction.

  • For employees 
E.g. increase in staff satisfaction and retention rates, expansion of job roles, and reduction of sick leave taken.

  • For the organisation 
E.g. savings in man-hours or days, and reduction in losses or wastage.

Examples of CHIPS projects include:
  • Ceiling hoists for wards and rehabilitation centres, reducing manpower required for patient transfers.
  • Kitchen enhancements, increasing the volume of meals cooked to meet demand.
  • Cleaning equipment, reducing man-hours in cleaning activities.

Organisation

Your organisation is eligible if it is:
  • An institution providing ILTC healthcare and/or social services that are in line with the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) licensing or service requirements; or
  • A third party service provider with Institutions of Public Character (IPC) status that provides supporting healthcare services to VWOs providing ILTC healthcare services.​​

​Funding levels are up to:
  • 80% for projects which are new to the Community Care sector.
  • Two-thirds the cost for diffusion projects, i.e. projects that have already been adopted by others.

The funding covers project expenses including manpower, training and capital costs for up to three years. It is capped at $300,000 per project.

Research projects, prototype developments and consumables do not qualify for the funding.

You can apply for CHIPS throughout the year. Evaluation criteria include the project’s productivity impact, scalability and sustainability.

You are encouraged to assess the brand or model that suits your needs, and to purchase the equipment according to your internal procurement guidelines.

Please note: 
  • All prices are in Singapore dollars.
  • HPF-ILTC will fund up to two-thirds of the invoice amount, capped at the approved fundable amount (whichever is lower).
  • Funding will cover GST for non-GST registered organisations. 
  • Funding is on a reimbursement basis. 
  • For items that require additional information, please attach the supporting documents with the Green Lane Application Form.
  • If the application varies from the stipulated norms, it will be administered as a normal CHIPS project.​​
