Why
Continuous check-ins with incumbents and other affected stakeholders allows for improvements to be made along the way. A final review after a 6-month implementation period helps the Project Team to quantify the success of the project and understand any areas to focus on for further improvement and scale-up.
How
- Use success metrics to measure the impact of Job Redesign solutions – those used for the AIC work trial are shown below
- Identify areas to be measures throughout implementation to determine project success. Agree how they can be measured, and the frequency of measurement
Measuring Success
What do we want to assess? | Tools | Frequency |
---|---|---|
Increase in incumbent’s competency, including training effectiveness and proficiency level of competencies | Competency Assessment (provided by training service provider) | Upon training completion and as per course requirements |
Incumbents’ progress in terms of confidence in new role, challenges faced and additional support required | Implementation Pulse Survey Guide and Questions | Monthly progress check-in surveys during implementation phase |
Sentiments of incumbents and key stakeholders to identify key enablers and areas of opportunities that will guide the scaling up of implementation | Review FGD Questions | Once during Final Review |
[If Job Shadow / Time-Task Study was conducted] Changes in proportion of time spent in task categories | Refer to materials found in the Step-by-Step Implementation section on conducting a time-task study and job shadow. | Once at the Understand phase, once during Final Review |
