IGNITE is a unique middle-level management programme customised to the needs of managers in the Community Care sector.

Programme Overview

The programme is specially designed to equip participants with an overview of Singapore’s Community Care landscape, the various schemes, programmes and services offered by Ministry of Health and Agency for Integrated Care, as well as build networks within the sector.

Who should apply

IGNITE is intended for new or current Managers in the Community Care sector who would like to have a better understanding of the sector.

Programme Objectives

  • Gain a better overview of the Community Care sector
  • Enhance understanding of the key initiatives to develop capabilities of Community Care organisations.
  • Raise awareness of the different services and schemes available to support seniors

Programme Highlights

Module 1 – Introduction to Community Care Sector (eLearning on CCLMS)

Participants will gain an understanding of the following

  1. Singapore’s strategies to address the challenges and needs of an ageing population
  2. Different care settings in the Community Care sector and how we work towards building a holistic community for our seniors to live well and age gracefully
  3. Future development of the various care settings to suit the increasing needs of our seniors
  4. Manpower capabilities development and resourcing initiatives

Module 2 – Support and Initiatives for Community Care Service Providers

Participants will gain an understanding of the following:

  1. Financial support scheme that service providers can leverage
  2. Insight to finance policy making
  3. In-depth information on grant application
  4. Quality enhancement improvement and innovation
  5. Overview of IT enablement and support for the sector

Module 3 – Services and Support for Our Seniors in the Community

Participants will gain an understanding of the following:

  1. Overview of the Community Mental Health Masterplan
  2. Healthy Ageing Initiatives
  3. AIC’s role as a referral agency for Community Care services
  4. Silver Generation Division’s role in facilitating ageing in place
  5. Social and Health care integration in the overall healthcare landscape
