About the Community Care Sector
Community care covers a wide range of services for seniors who need care or treatment after being discharged from a hospital, or for those who need healthcare assistance in their daily lives.
The three main settings found in Community Care are home care, centre-based care (e.g. senior day care centres) and residential care (e.g. nursing homes).
The Community Care sector in Singapore helps seniors live well and age gracefully at home and in the community. Whether you are a fresh school leaver or a mid-career switcher, AIC offers various schemes and programmes that support the sector to develop you to your fullest potential.
Every day, thousands of Community Care professionals work selflessly. They look after our seniors, lend strength to the less able, and give light to those who need it. Here are some ways we show our appreciation for their efforts.
The Community Care Manpower Development Awards (CCMDA) provide opportunities to pursue and grow a career in the Community Care sector.
The Community Care Excellence Awards recognises the contributions of individuals and project teams who have demonstrated exemplary service and commitment in delivering quality care to their clients.
