Shared Stay-in Senior Caregiving Services (Stay-in SCS) is a care model where trained caregiving staff provide support to a group of seniors living together in a common residence.
Who is this service for
This service is suitable for seniors who require non-extensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and who either:
- Have a next-of-kin (NOK) to make caregiving decisions on their behalf; or
- Are cognitively competent themselves.
Services provided
Trained caregiving staff provide basic support with:
- Daily living tasks (e.g., feeding, dressing, toileting, etc.)
- Meals
- Housekeeping and social activities
The service is primarily delivered by trained caregiving staff, and medical or nursing care is not part of the scope of Stay-in SCS. The senior and/or NOK remain responsible for ensuring that accurate information and instructions are provided to the caregiving staff.
Cost
Stay-in SCS is offered as a private service and is currently not subsidised by the Government. For more details, you may contact the Stay-in SCS companies directly.
